How to have a truly thankful Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving really is a special time of the year to be thankful for great families, caring friends, fortunate events, and good health. There are plenty of things to be thankful for. Be sure to take the time to reap all the benefits of this Thanksgiving.

In my opinion, the best thing to be thankful for is life. In today's fast-paced society, it can be easy to take important things for granted. Take the time to think about your life to appreciate everything and everyone you have. Take a moment to notice the sky and the nature surrounding you. Listen to the birds singing and feel the sun on your skin. Take a walk around your neighborhood and notice the natural and man-made wonders that give you the sense of 'awe'.
At the table, create a valuable and shareable conversation with your guests. Every year, at the dinner table, my family goes around the table and each person tells what they are thankful for each year. Try to ask grateful conversation start questions. A fun way is to write questions on pieces of paper and put them in a bowl. Go around the table and have everyone draw a paper and answer the question.
Thank you for opening your eyes and heart to truly having a grateful Thanksgiving week and an appreciable life.
Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at DGVA!
