5 Ways to not feel like Garfield on Monday.

It's Sunday afternoon, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and you're relaxing until the thought hits you.. tomorrow is Monday. Your mini vacation is now ruined by the anxiety of another work week. It's no secrete that Garfield hates Mondays and most of us can relate. You lie in bed, hit snooze, and think to yourself "Do I really need a job?". Unfortunately the answer is yes, you do. However, changing your perspective of Sunday can change the rest of your week.

It's Monday morning, you've hit snooze too many times and now you're rushing to get out the door. You didn't pack your lunch and now you'll have to send money on unhealthy food. Traffic was backed up and you've barely made it to work on time. By the time you sit down at your desk, you sign with exhaustion; already knowing it's going to be a long day. Sounds familiar doesn't it? We've all been there, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Change your idea of Sunday as the first day of the week, not Monday. I know Sunday feels like the last chance to relax on the weekend but using a few hours can change your whole week. By being proactive, you have less to worry about throughout the week. Do not hit snooze. Move your alarm or phone across the room so you're forced to get out of bed. Get your food in order for the upcoming week. Meal planning will insure you have a healthy lunch everyday of the week. It may be a lot of work to prep but it is worth not over spending eating out; and gives you time to relax on your lunch break rather than traveling around town during the highest traffic of the day. Pick out your outfits for the whole week so you don't spend too much time in the morning causing you to feel rushed to leave the house. Tidy up your house with a quick clean. There's something calming about coming home to a clean space after a long, hard days work. Most importantly, take time for yourself to unwind from the previous week. Self-care can go a long way to improve your mental and physical well-being. Whether you relax with an Epsom Salt bath, read a book, mindlessly scroll through social media, paint your nails, or indulge in online shopping, do something that makes you feel good.

To insure you have a peaceful yet productive week, you have to commit to your Sundays. Preparing and planning is a sure way to accomplish a better mind and body throughout the week. Here is a wrap-up of my suggestions.

1. Don't use your snooze button.

2. Meal prep your lunches.

3. Select for wardrobe for the upcoming week.

4. Clean your living environment.

5. Relax, and take care of yourself.

I hope these tips help change your Sunday, your week, and your life so you no longer feel like..
